Like a precious gem…

What is the most precious item in your life? The one thing that you cannot do without. The thing in life you value the most. This question does leave some room for interpretation. There is no wrong interpretation. Please answer with what pops into your head first. Please do not over think it!

I would defiantly have to say that the most precious item in my life is my family. I guess they really are not “items” but they really are people I could not live without. First of all, I have a twin sister that I am very close to. I could not imagine not having her around. If I was an only child or did not have a twin I probably would not be the person I am  today. We practically do everything together. Even though sometimes I get annoyed with her, that is only because I see her every moment of my life! Because we spend so much time together, we practically can read each others minds. It is really funny because sometimes we just start cracking up over nothing.

Another person I would not live without is my mom. She is one of my best friends. Whenever I have a problem she can always help me solve it. She has sacrificed so much for my family. When my sister and I were born she stopped working just so she could stay home and raise us. Just 4 years ago she decided she wanted to go back to work, and got a really great job she likes. She is really supportive of me in whatever I choose to do. When she went to school she was an A+ student, but she never pressures me to be like her. Even if I come home with a B on a paper instead of an A, she does not get mad or tell me I need to get A’s. Even though she would not be unhappy if I was a B or C student, she is lucky that both me and my sister are A students.  I hear stories about kids that are afraid to tell their parents about a bad grade. I think when parents put so much pressure on their children it makes them scared to open up to them. My mom is not judgemental at all. Sometimes she teases me about some of the things I like, but I know she appreciates that I am my own person. Without my sister or my mom, I do not think I would be the same person I am today.

I’m Nadine from Australia! :)
How lovely and sweet! I know, my mum and family are the MOST important things in my life too. Without them, you will have no happiness and no one to love you. My mum is also my best friend! ( we are like twins!!!) :) she cares alot about what i think and listens. If i get a bad grade too, she says i tried my best and that is MOST important!!! She also helps me through out my difficulties.
Wow! WE HAVE ALOT IN COMMON YOU KNOW!!! :P
Bye and hope to hear from you!!!!

What breaks my heart so much is when my parents will die. I don’t want to lose them, but alas, what is done must be done! I still never want to lose them!!
My parents always tell me this too:
“If there was a choice to kill either us or you, we’d choose us. Alas, we have lived our lives. You have not yet. Enjoy your lives, all of you. We will always be there for you, to help you, protect you, love you.”
Doesn’t that make you want to cry?
 :P
