Burrrrr. I’m cold.
I think the best thing about where I live is the seasons. In some parts of the USA, people only experience 1 or 2 seasons. For example, in California they never really experience winter. Where I live, we fully get all four seasons. It is pretty fun because in the winter we get to play in the snow and in the summer we get to go swimming and have fun at the beach. Everything here is constantly changing. During the fall, the leaves start to change colors and the temperature starts to drop. During the winter, there is always snow on the ground and the temperature is extremely cold. On average, the temperature is around 30 degrees. After winter, my favorite season comes. During the spring, the flowers start to bloom and the temperature rises. I love spring because nature is full of life. I feel like I get to start over. After my favorite season comes most students favorite season. SUMMER! Schools are out and everyone gets to have fun swimming and going to the beach. The weather is warm and the sun sets very late at night. It is hard for me to believe that some people experience the warmer holidays all year. Some people have never felt the snow fall down onto their face. I guess when the temperature is 20 degrees and you feel like you are going to freeze you don’t get to fully appreciate the beautiful snow.
I think the most unique thing about my school is the use of blogs, podcasts and wikis. Not many other schools in my town, or even state, use these tools. They make school so much more interesting because in these days all kids practically live on their computers. I feel like we are the beginning or something big. I predict that in the next 5-10 years all schools will use these tools. They will need a school to model theirs after. Already many schools have used our work in their classes. I really think we are the faces of the future.
