Tropical Fish Blog
So today at lunch we all were sharing stories about our pets. Of course, I had no stores since I currently do not have any pets, but I remember a funny story about my fish, Angel. This story happened about six years ago. For my class my mom bought a fish for our class. Over summer vacation we took him home. We had company comming over the next day, and Angel’s fishbowl seriously needed to be cleaned, so we took him into the garage to clean his bowl. The temperature was around 95 degrees. Since we had company comming over the next day we had to run errends. We got sidetracked and forgot about cleaning Angel’s bowl. The next day we had the cleaning supplies all ready, and we went into the garage to clean Angel’s bowl. There we saw Angel floating at the top of the bowl. I was so upset that Angel had died. Well, he was kind of baked, like a fish fillet. We had to bury him in my backyard.
So I am guessing you are thinking “What does your fish have to do with this blog?” Well, our assignment for this week was to find a blog about any topic and write about our experience. I looked at everything from chinchillas to Mexico to penguins. And then finally the lightbulb went off. FISH! So, I found a great blog about tropical fish called Williams Tropical Blog.I searched under blogs tropical fish incase the link does not work. Unforunatly, I was not able to contact the blogger because you had to make an account. If I was going to comment the blogger I would say…
Hey William,
I was assignened a project for my social studies class to look for blogs in a subject that catches out attention. I love the ocean and all the fish and creatures that live in the ocean, so your blog was perfect for me. All the pictures of your travels are so beautiful, they make me want to hop of the plane and go visit those locations. I never knew studying fish could be so exciting.
Thanks,
Izzybell
This blog was so interesting to read. Not only did the blogger describe different types of fish, he also talked about sea critters such as the Giant Water Bug.
It has been identified as a Giant Water Bug (Lethocerus sp.)(Hemiptera: Belostomatidae) Which according to information is a predatory primarely found in still waters where they feed on various pray including fish and frogs that are larger than they are. They ingest the pray with digestive enzyme and suck out the content of the body.
They do apparently have a very painful bite.
You can really tell that the author has a love for aquatic creatures, and it gets you really excited. I found myself looking up most of the creatures that he talked about, and some of the locations he visits are truelly beautiful. When i was finished reading this article, I found myself considering the career of a marine bioligist or a scuba diver!

That picture of the fish at the bottom is really hilarious for some reason! Well, it is really weird how we wrote about the same things & how today in science we both forgot our homework. Weird twin things going on. Haha, hmm .. i wonder who the person above me is (jk) thats mean, I wanted her to comment my blog.
