When you turn on the television to MTV I bet you will hear the same exact music you hear on the radio. Doesn’t that get boring??!?!I think that MTV and radio stations are in a way telling kids what music to listen to. I understand that radios and televisions are a great way for artists to promote themselves, but sometimes I would just like to hear something different on the radio. The genre of music on the radio is always the same. It is either rap or hip hop. I don’t really like rap music, i like rock music.. Why do you think rap is always on MTV instead of rock music? I think it is because the CEO or whatever or MTV decides that they should play this type or music. One man(or woman’s)opinion is ruling what is played on the radio and television. Shows like TRL are nice because they let the viewers choose what songs they want to hear. I just wish that I could turn on the radio and hear some of my favorite songs. Even better, there should be a radio station dedicated to playing non mainstream music. People seem to be divided into groups by what music they listen to, and I think it would be less segregated if the radio played all different types of music. How do you feel about this subject? I have never thought about what sort of music is being played on the radio and on TV cause I like to listen to anything really. You really have brought up something new to think about…. Thats a great think to bring up. I have never really thought too much about the subject because i pretty much just listen to what is on the radio and on T.V. When i do watch MTV, some of the music IS reapeated from the radio. I will really start thinking about that subject because i havent really in the past. That’s a great point to bring up.
